TODAY RAKESH ROSHAN TURNS 63


TODAY, Producer, director and Bollywood actor Rakesh Roshan turns 63 who born in a Punjabi family in 1949.

Roshan debuted as an actor in the film GHAR GHAR KI KAHANI in 1970 and then acted in several other films like KHEL KHEL MEIN, KHOOBSURAT, BHAGWAN DADA, KHOON BHARI MAANG, AKELE HUM AKELE TUM.

Roshan set up his own production house Filmkraft in 1980 and produced their first film AAP KE DEEWANE in the same year. Roshan debuted as an actor in the film GHAR GHAR KI KAHANI in 1970 and then acted in several other films like KHEL KHEL MEIN, KHOOBSURAT, BHAGWAN DADA, KHOON BHARI MAANG, AKELE HUM AKELE TUM.

Roshan set up his own production house Filmkraft in 1980 and produced their first film AAP KE DEEWANE in the same year.

He made his directorial debut in 1987 with the film KHUDGARZ. Later he directed a few hit films like KISHEN KANHAIYA, KARAN ARJUN, KAHO NAA... PYAAR HAI, KOI... MIL GAYA.

Roshan's son Hrithik Roshan is one of the most successful Bollywood stars of current generation and Roshan's brother Rajesh Roshan is a well-known music director.

He made his directorial debut in 1987 with the film KHUDGARZ. Later he directed a few hit films like KISHEN KANHAIYA, KARAN ARJUN, KAHO NAA... PYAAR HAI, KOI... MIL GAYA.

VIDYA BALAN GETS 5 CRORES TO ENDORSE SARIS


 Think of Vidya Balan and the first thing that comes to your mind is her beautiful 'saris'. THE DIRTY PICTURE actress was the sole reason why the trend of saris came back to Bollywood. She made wearing saris trendy and cool. Vidya Balan have never been ashamed of her curves. In fact she is one actress who can carry herself with elan.

DARA SINGH, 84 PASSES AWAY THIS MORNING


Former wrestling champion and actor Dara Singh died at his home here Thursday morning following a brief illness, doctors treating him said. He was 84.

"Dara Singh passed away peacefully at 7.30 a.m. this (Thursday) morning," said Ram Narain, COO, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where the actor was being treated before he was shifted to his Juhu home late Wednesday.

"Angel now gone to shine like a star up above," the actor's son, Vindu Dara Singh, texted after his father's death. Dara Singh had been undergoing dialysis at the hospital. It was his family's wish that he should be home in the last stages of his life, a hospital official had said Wednesday.

He is survived by his wife and six children - three sons and three daughters. One of his sons, Vindu Dara Singh, is a known name in showbiz.

HOT BIPASHA IN GOA WITH HER FAMILY


Bong-shell Bipasha Basu has taken a break and is currently holidaying and having fun in Goa with her family.

Bips tweeted on the social networking site about her Goa break and wrote, "On a break! Off to Goa with my lil sister...I love Goa! So many imp moments of my life till now are attached to Goa! N creating more! (sic)"

She also posted a couple of pictures while enjoying with her sisters - Bidisha & Bijoyeta and her darling niece Nia.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE WILL BE SEEN IN BIKINI IN HER UPCOMING MOVIE "COCKTAIL"


Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone feels that the body type of Indian woman is 'somehow' not suited for a bikini. She said Indian woman has to work a bit harder to look ravishing in the costume.

"I wish wearing a bikini was so easy," Deepika said during an event recently. She made the comments while unveiling the Melange Cocktail fashion collection in Mumbai on Thursday. "I think the Indian body type is somehow not suited for a bikini," she said.

"I feel we as Indians need to work a little extra on our body if we want to carry it off well," said Deepika. Pertinently, Deepika will be seen in a bikini in her upcoming film" COCKTAIL"

Deepika is playing 'Veronica' in the film that also features Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty. Speaking on her character, she said, "I felt I was ready to play Veronica, but I needed inner confidence to be able to pull it off. It is a kind of character that can go wrong."
