ASIN - LOOKING HOT AND SEXY

She may have done dhinka chika with Salman Khan and is now ensuring a 'house full' with Akshay Kumar. But Asin's current isn't any of them; it is Subhaan, 9 year old son of Sajid Nadiadwala, who is currently besotted with the actress.

"During the London schedule of the film, Subhaan just didn't leave Asin's side. He was giving her all the attention that she needed and was making sure that she was well taken care of. In fact many in the unit even joked that Subhaan was perhaps making a future investment and already preparing himself as being ultra chivalrous,' informs a unit member from London.

No wonder, Asin was heard joking with her friends that while she was used to such pampering from Salman Khan during LONDON DREAMS and READY while Akshay Kumar too was a thorough gentleman during the shoot of HOUSEFULL 2, she felt happiest in Subhaan's company.

"Subhaan is a film buff himself and likes to accompany his dad, especially during the outdoor shoots," says a close family friend, 'In fact as a child artist, he has featured in his dad's films like MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGI, HEYY BABYY and HOUSEFULL. Who knows, with the kind of closeness he has developed with Asin, he may land a part in HOUSEFULL 2 as well."

In the meantime Subhaan is busy 'pataofying' Asin by gifting her teddy bears, key chains, etc. He has an amusing story to tell her every day, something which the actress is happy to lend an ear to.

"I am very fond of kids and Subhaan is no different. I guess he has taken a liking for me, 'smiles Asin, "He is so polite and doesn't throw any tantrums despite coming from such a lineage. I adore him. He is a sweetheart and is very intelligent. He was the one who took special care of me more than anyone else. No wonder, he is the favorite guy in my life today."

RANG RASIYA WINS AWARD AT LONDON INDIAN FILM FEST

Director Ketan Mehta's RANG RASIYA (COLOURS OF PASSION) has won Audience Award at 2nd London Indian Film Festival (June 30 - July 12).

Audiences voted for their favorite films across 28 screenings during the festival.

The London Indian Film Festival is dedicated to expressing the drive and spirit of Indian independent cinema.

The festival opened with the World Premiere of Abhinay Deo's DELHI BELLY, produced by Aamir Khan Productions and UTV Motion Pictures and closed with the UK premiere of Srijit Mukherji's hit film AUTOGRAPH, both at the Cineworld Haymarket.

The closing night screening was preceded by a performance by chart-topping musician Raghu Dixit and followed by a lively Q&A with AUTOGRAPH star Nandana Sen, who also stars in RANG RASIYA.

Ketan Mehta's film RANG RASIYA was screened at the venues On 1st July 7.00 pm at V&A, 2nd July at 6.30 pm Watermans Cinema, 6th July 6.30 pm at Cineworld, Woodgereen, and 10th July 6.30pm at Cineworld, Feltham and 11th July 6.30 pm at Cineworld, Feltham.

Ketan Mehta is overwhelmed by the spectacular response.

He said: "It is like an honor to me to represent my country here. The feeling of being appreciated in other country among so many people is priceless. London Indian Film Festival that showcases Indian independent cinema is an exciting & timely initiative I support it whole heartedly."

"I am thrilled that my passion project has won the coveted audience award at the London Indian Film Festival. The premiere in the historic surroundings of the Victoria & Albert museum was wonderful and the interaction with London audiences was great. This award is the icing on the cake."

Festival Director Cary Sawhney said: "It's been an amazing year for us, in spite of the recession; many people have got behind our festival and really made it work, including our internationally known team.

"In just two years we are pleased to have brought to London some of India's top talent, including the World Premiere of DELHI BELLY from the Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan stable, which has become a global hit; to sold out Q&As with leading independent directors Anurag Kashyap, Rituparno Ghosh and the legendary Ketan Mehta, at some of London's top venues."

Ketan Mehta's film charts the life of the great Indian artist Raja Ravi Varma (played by Randeep Hooda), from his early days under the patronage of a King of Kerala, moving on to British Bombay in the late 1800s, where he makes his fortune.

Here the genius gives birth to Indian modern art and helps inspire the independence movement and the dawning of Indian cinema with his depictions, which bring to life the Hindu gods and goddesses. He must first find his muse who comes in the lavish form of Sugandha (Nandana Sen). Varma's fascination for his model turns into a torrid, paint-smeared, love affair, which is reflected in his art.

The religious power broker sees his increasingly eroticised work as dangerous and Varma is dragged to the British courts to be tried for blasphemy.

Mehta's homage offers not only a spectacular insight into a turning point in Indian history, but also questions the freedom of the artist in contemporary society. Not to be missed!

However, Blonsky’s rep shot back, "Per her Twitter, she is openly and happily single. The accusation is 100 percent not true. I have never actively pitched a story with her regarding any boyfriends."

In 2003, she appeared in her first Bollywood film, opposite Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in the Anil Sharma film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. She played a supporting role as a doctor named Shaheen in the film that The New York Times described as "ripping its text from the seething border tensions between India and Pakistan, spicing its conflict with hot-tempered religious zealots bent on nuclear havoc".Despite being one of the highest grossing films of that year, the overall film was not well received by critics.Chopra was awarded mostly good reviews for her debut Hindi performance.Later that year she appeared in Raj Kanwar's Andaaz, playing the character of Jiya who falls in love with Raj Malhotra, played by Akshay Kumar. The film was a success at the box office, earning her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. :-

Her next few films released in 2004 Plan, Kismat and Asambhav performed poorly at the box office.Later that year she appeared in David Dhawan's romantic comedy Mujhse Shaadi Karogi playing the role of a young fashion designer Rani along with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. She also received a second nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for the role. Film critic Subhash K. Jha noted, "A star is born! As the predatory social-climbing seductress who can go to any length to satiate her lust for life, Priyanka Chopra rocks the scene like never before. The film is undoubtedly a triumph for Priyanka Chopra. With half a smile, a twitch of her lip and a movement of her eyebrow she seems to slip into her man-eater's role with captivating ease".In 2005, she starred in six films. Four of them, Blackmail, Karam, Yakeen and Barsaat failed to do well. However, her performance in Yakeen garnered good reviews from critics.

Her other two 2005 releases, Waqt: The Race Against Time and Bluffmaster! performed moderately at the box office. In 2006, Chopra starred in two of the most successful films of the year: Krrish, in which she shared the screen with Hrithik Roshan and Rekha, and Don – The Chase Begins Again, alongside Shahrukh Khan which was a remake of the 1978 film Don. Her first four films, Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku and Drona, were critically and commercially unsuccessful.Critics started panning her for choosing the wrong movies and criticising her performances.Still, she was noted for her physical performance in Drona with Rediff writing, "Chopra truly impresses with her convincing action heroine skills."

FASHION AND RECENT WORK (2008–PRESENT)
:-

After a series of flops, Chopra was cast in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion (2008) for the lead role of Meghna Mathur. Revolving around the fashion world through Chopra's role of an ambitious model, the film was a critical success. Her performance in the film was appreciated and earned her several awards for Best Actress including the National Film Award for Best Actress, as well as the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.Subhash K Jha said of her performance, "Her transformation from the bubbly Chandigarh girl to the super-ambitious supermodel, who dumps her boyfriend and conscience to pursue her dreams, is achieved with a gentle subtlety and bridled passion. This is Priyanka’s coming-of-age film. She looks like a zillion bucks. And acts like a woman who connects with the darkest, most desperate human emotions without wallowing in them."Chopra's final release of the year was Tarun Mansukhani's romantic comedy Dostana. The film was a moderate financial success.Rajeev Masand wrote about her performance, "Priyanka Chopra, is at complete ease, slipping effortlessly into the role of the hottie-with-a-heart-of-gold; she looks smashing in this film, better than she's ever looked before."

[and] gets the Maharashtrian accent perfect".She subsequently appeared in Ashutosh Gowariker's romantic comedy What's Your Raashee?, a film which made Chopra the first actress in cinema history to portray 12 distinct characters in one film. She was reportedly being considered for inclusion in the upcoming edition of Guinness World Records for this feat. The film itself was a financial and critical failure, but Chopra's performance in the film was appreciated by critics.

In 2010, Chopra appeared in Jugal Hansraj's Pyaar Impossible where she portrayed the role of a college beauty who eventually falls in love with a geek. The film was a commercial and critical failure. Her next release, Siddharth Anand's Anjaana Anjaani alongside Ranbir Kapoor, got a good initial response at the box office, but was not well-received by the critics.

In early 2011, Chopra appeared in Vishal Bhardwaj's black comedy 7 Khoon Maaf, in which she portrayed the role of an Anglo-Indian woman who murders her seven husbands. Her performance in the film garnered mixed reviews by the critics. She has completed the filming of Farhan Akhtar's Don 2 – The Chase Continues alongside Shahrukh Khan. PrakashJha, "The laws of the country do not require me to show my film to any board or body, apart from the Censor Board.

"The Censor Board has been constituted to review films - rate them according to viewing suitability, and address any other concerns related to the release of the film. It is the prerogative of the Censor Board, if it wants to involve any other body of people for advice.

KARAN JOHAR TO MAKE K3G SEQUEL

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is planning to make a sequel of its decade old blockbuster home production, KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM.

Karan's plans for bringing back 'The Raichand' family on big screen are finally coming true.

In 2001, KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM was a super hit, worldwide, with a business of Rs.200cr ($20 million). This was the first ever Bollywood movie to get a theatrical release in Germany (with German subtitles) and later on, it went on to getting dubbed in the German language.

On being asked by a friend about a sequel to his runaway hit K3G, Karan at first took it lightly and laughed it off. He thought it's financially impractical and most importantly, it's not a great idea for a film in the current age and days.

But when Senior AB gave thumbs up to the idea stating that 'sequel was not only possible but also desirable and only Karan can do it,' Karan couldn't say a 'No'!

Karan then admitted, 'It's a workable idea. I am no longer averse to it. It would be a bold step if I make it.' He further added, 'It's very strange. But all the six main members of the cast are as dear to me now as they were 10 years ago when I made the film. I'm sure they're as charged about the sequel as I am.'

KING KHAN, SHAHRUKH IN DON 2

If DON - THE CHASE BEGINS was deadly expect its sequel, DON 2 to be deadliest! Atleast this is what the first trailer promises to be. The King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan returns as the deadliest and dangerous don in DON 2.

The trailer is a must watch for Shahrukh's grungy look, his trademark style, the way he flaunts 'D' tattoo lights cigar, the stylised action sequences and stunts and the corny dialogues mouthed by Don himself. The slickest shots, the pacy remix of prequel's version and with superstar's presence - the film is already giving a feel of blockbuster!

Like its first part, DON 2 has been written and directed by Farhan Akhtar. The music is given by Shankar Ehsaan and Loy.

If you thought its easy to do do away with DON, then indeed its not. As the
Don is back to settle his scores. As he rightly says in the film Ab mujhe koi nahi rok sakta.

Truly DON ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi naamunkin hai!

CASEY ANTHONY'S ATTORNEY - SHE IS INNOCENT

It’s no secret that many Americans are outraged at Casey Anthony's acquittal on murder charges, but her defense attorney Cheney Mason says he’s sure she didn’t kill her daughter Caylee.

During an interview this morning, Mason explained, “I do believe her story. I believed it from the first time I met her.”

Cheney also noted, “I have never for one minute had any doubt at all. She did not kill her child. Period. I don’t think her story has changed from the very beginning.’’

As for what’s next for his client, Mason declared, “I don’t know [where she will go], and if I did, I wouldn’t tell you. Yes, we are all concerned about her safety and her future, but one thing at a time.”

“It’s as much her country as anybody else’s. She just needs to have some time and counseling and be re-introduced to society. She’s been in lockdown for 23 hours a day for three years.’’

SUNNY WANTS TO RESUME HIS RIVALRY WITH SHAHRUKH

Plans are being formed up to release Sunny Deol's "I LOVE NEW YEAR" on Christmas eve. So far so good. The only hitch (and a big one at that) is that Shahrukh Khan's DON 2 is slated to arrive on the same day i.e. 23rd December. Since there is a back story behind this decision, it makes the clash all the more interesting.

For the uninitiated, it was more than a decade and a half ago when things soured between Sunny and Shahrukh. For Yash Chopra's psychological dramatic thriller DARR, Sunny was the chosen one as the lead hero while Shahrukh was to play a quintessential villain. However as the film progressed, so impressed was Chopra Sr. with Shahrukh that the BAAZIGAR boy ended up being a hero who went away with all the sympathies while Sunny's presence seemed like a cameo.

'Ever since then Sunny had soured all relationships with Chopras and Shahrukh,' continues the source, 'So when an opportunity came to hit back where it hurt the most, Sunny isn't shying away and has now given a go-ahead for his romantic comedy to take on Shahrukh's thriller.'

SEXY KIM KARDASHIAN AT A STUDIO CITY

Always one to make time for promotional appearances, Kim Kardashian was seen arriving at a Studio City television studio.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" beauty donned her signature style for the network meet-up, wearing a pair of aviators, black blazer, and sky-high black platform heels.

The TV visit followed a busy morning in which Miss Kardashian partook in an early workout followed by wedding planning duties as she was spotted toting a bridesmaid dress to a local office building.

Aside from her hectic schedule, Kim is sparing no expense to lose those pesky extra lb's ahead of her August wedding - hiring celebrity trainers Tracey Anderson and Gunnar Peterson while working up a sweat for hours each day to assure a perfect fit in her duo of big day dresses (one dress for the ceremony and one for the reception).

Detailing her workouts with the bride-to-be, Miss Anderson told press, "We don't want to take away Kim's amazing curves, so we just do specific movements to tighten the skin and to pull the muscles tight against the bone."

AJAY DEVGAN AND KAJAL AGARWAL IN "SINGHAM"

Titled "Singham", the Hindi version is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars B-town's talented actor Ajay Devgan, our very own Prakash Raj and beauty Kajal Agarwal. The film is bannered under Reliance Entertainment and has been entirely shot in Goa.

Singham's first look has been released along with Salman Khan-Asin starrer 'Ready' which releases today (June 3). Ajay said to have requested his good friend Salman to attach Singham's trailer with 'Ready'.

The trailer shows how Ajay as inspector Bhajirao Singham takes on the baddies with style and josh! Typical thumping Maharashtrian beats, dramatic action sequences – cars flying, hero dodging from weapons - punchy dialogues, pretty Kajal, villain Prakash Raj's imposing presence…. makes 'Singham' quite promising and something to watch out for.

The movie also looks quite different from our version of the Suriya-Anushka starrer. It's not so often that one can see such hard core action films in Hindi these days. While it was Salman Khan who revived the action theme with 'Dabangg', Ajay has added more spicy flavour to the genre with his 'Singham'.

Ajay's 'Singham' will be on the big screens from July 22, 2011. Did you watch the trailer of the movie? Then share your views here... What do you feel about it? Who is better - Ajay or Suriya?
