AT LAST RAJ KIRAN WAS SEEN IN US ASYLUM

Bollywood stars, Rishi Kapoor and Deepti Naval finally found out their missing B-Town co-actor Raj Kiran in an asylum in United States.

The entire search process commenced with a social networking site campaign of Deepti Naval who had acted with the actor in the film HIP HIP HURRAY.

Raj Kiran was missing almost for a decade till he was traced to USA by Rishi Kapoor who joined the quest of searching out the actor and it was during his visit to US where he discovered the real story.

Rishi met with Raj Kiran's elder brother Govind Mehtani and tried to get more information about the actor.

Rishi discovered that the KARZ co-star was staying in an Atlanta psychiatric institution for the past couple of years.

Deepti Naval who had started the entire search with a post on the popular networking site posted : "It is awesome, the response to the 'Search for Raj Kiran' - I'm truly moved by the heartening messages all of you are sending to me as well as on his fan page . . . not only as a colleague and old friend, but even just on humanitarian grounds, I feel if one can make a wee bit difference in another human being's life, then one's own life is worth living!"

Thanking Rishi Kapoor she posted: "We also need to thank Chintu (Rishi ji) for his efforts."

"Looking for a friend/colleague Raj Kiran - please notify at my email .... thanks," she posted earlier with aims of searching the actor.

"All we need to know is that Raj Kiran is okay somewhere... would love to reach out to him... he is a good actor - remember Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho - kya gham hai jisko chhupa rahe ho," she said.

Naval was, however, livid over some insensitive media coverage of the episode by a Hindi news channel.

Meanwhile, Raj was found in a psychiatric house where he was undergoing treatment after getting abandoned by his son and wife long back due to this erratic mood swings, as reported by a reputed channel.

This incident has made him go through an acute mental depression and was institutionalized in India before he was shifted to US.

Moreover, his brothers even did not have any contact number of the veteran actor as they did not keep in touch with home.

Actors like Shahrukh Khan and Rishi Kapoor have assured to support in his rehabilitation in the film industry.
