PREITY ZINTA - TO BE AWARDED WITH "WORLD DIAMOND GROUP PLATINUM AWARD FOR PEOPLE'S FRIENDSHIP"

The famous Bollywood actress Preity Zinta will be awarded with the "World Diamond Group Platinum Award for Peoples' Friendship" symbolized at the upcoming Venice Film Festival. The Award will be tied-in with the magnificent "White OliveTree", an invaluable marble, platinum and diamonds sculpture. The award also celebrates the tenth anniversary of the "Kineo Diamanti al Cinema" Award.

World Diamond Group establishes a prize to be awarded during the 68th Venice Film Festival, in the context of the event Kineo "Diamanti al Cinema" event, to emphasize his belief in art as a privileged means to establish, together with respect for justice and human rights, true and lasting friendship relationships among peoples. The first "World Diamond Group Platinum Award for Peoples' Friendship " is assigned to Indian actress Preity Zinta engaged in the work of peoples of different cultures harmonization and reconciliation, contributing in this way to the World Diamond Group mission of enhancing, through beauty and peoples' friendship to the birth of a culture and a civilization that over time produce peace and prosperity.

The award is symbolized by a sculpture, the "White Olive Tree", born of a quest for purity. After being shown at the Venice Film Festival, the "White Olive Tree" will be exposed at Palazzo Lascaris in Turin, before starting a world tour, in other prestigious venues.

Why the olive tree? Because it is a tree that brings together different cultures around the Mediterranean sea, and is widespread in many countries around the world. It has always been a symbol of peace and light. A worthy tribute to the women of our time who, confronted with important choices, keep intact their belief in the values and quality.

Glamming up at the Venice Film Festival, Monica Bellucci attended the premiere of “Un Ete Brulant” on Friday night.

The “Whistleblower” actress looked gorgeous as she worked the red carpet at Palazzo del Cinema venue clad in a draping black strapped dress.

Beating all pre-opening estimations, the opening day collections equaled a whopping never-seen-before 20 crores making it historic and is estimated to cross 40 crores in 2 days of its release.

Such magnanimous success is no new territory to Kareena Kapoor, who in the year 2009 was also a part of the Aamir Khan starrer 3 IDIOTS ,that also earned a whooping 315 crores worldwide in just 19 days, and had an opening collection of approximately 14 crores.

In the year 2010, Kareena was also the lead actress in the comic riot GOLMAAL 3, another big grosser at the box office, with opening weekend net collections that stood at 33.5 crore making it the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010.

Says a trade analyst, "Kareena Kapoor rules the roost and for the last 3 years has been part of the biggest grosser of the year. She is Bollywood's highest paid actress and going by the results, it sure is well deserved."

Kareena Kapoor is also the leading actress in the brand space with the highest number of brands in her kitty in comparison to her contemporaries.

The macho star said, “I wish I could’ve been in the city during this time but I just couldn’t move around with this pain anymore.” However, Salman wished everyone on this special day and added: “But I do wish everyone Eid Mubarak.”

Salman also could not observe Roza this Eid because of his medications. Nevertheless, he wished a very happy Eid to all his fans saying, “Health, happiness, peace and success for all of us.” We wish the same to our Bollywood’s cherished star!

The “Sweet Home Alabama” actress stopped by a friend’s house before hitting up the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and heading off to an eye doctor appointment. Whew!

Reese recently had lunch with Taylor Swift at Boa Steakhouse in LA, and the topic of their shared ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal came up in conversation.

According to an insider, “They talked about how vain and self-absorbed Jake can be. They laughed about it.”
