SEXY RIHANNA ON THE SHORE OF BARBADOS

Still living it up in her native land, Rihanna joined her family and friends for a day on off the shore of Barbados.

Wearing a colorful one-piece swimsuit, the "What's My Name" singer cruised the crystal clear waters before setting anchor and hopping off ship to do a little wave running in the island locale.

With the sun setting on the tropical destination, Rihanna continued with her water-bound festivities into the nighttime - as she sipped on a beverage while wading in the Caribbean waters.

The leisurely afternoon comes after RiRi treated her hometown supporters to an energetic performance the previous night - with video footage of the 23-year-old rockin' out with her song "So Hard" available above.

On a side note, it was recently announced that Rihanna has collaborated with coconut water giant Vita Coco to launch a new flavor called Vita Coco Tropical Fruit - which is described as an "all-natural, luscious blend of coconut water, pink guava, orange, red dragon fruit and pineapple."

Talking about the thirst-quenching offering in a statement, the superstar singer said, “I grew up in Barbados – so when Vita Coco approached me to help develop a new flavor, I thought we should combine the natural coconut water with fresh tropical fruits – two of my favorite things. It tastes so delicious and reminds me of home!"

AVRIL LAVIGNE - IN BRAZILLIAN CONCERT

She’s one tough cookie, but Avril Lavigne recently had quite the scare when an overzealous fan jumped on stage at her concert in Brazil.

The “What the Hell” singer was just about to start singing when an eager fan hopped up on stage and rushed toward her before quickly being grabbed by security.

Once the dust settled, Lavigne laughed it off and said, “Just getting in the moment there….OK, let’s try that again.”

She added, “Yes, we love you Brazil” before starting her song.

TODAY KAJOL TURNS 36

TODAY, Kajol Devgan turns 36, who born on 5th August, 1974, better known as simply Kajol, is an Indian film actress appearing in Hindi films. She is regarded as one of India's most successful female actors.

Kajol made her acting debut in the film Bekhudi (1992) and had her first commercial success with her second film Baazigar (1993) opposite Shahrukh Khan, with whom she would act in such popular movies as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and My Name is Khan (2010). Her performances in all four of these films were praised and earned her Filmfare Awards for Best Actress. After shooting for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001, she took a sabbatical from full-time acting for five years. She made a comeback with Kunal Kohli's Fanaa (2006), for which she received another Best Actress Award at the Filmfare. Along with her late aunt Nutan, Kajol holds the record for most Best Actress wins at the Filmfare Awards, with five. In 2011, the Government of India honoured her with the Padma Shri for her contribution to Indian Cinema. She is married to fellow Indian actor Ajay Devgn.[

FAMILY AND BACKGROUND:-

Kajol was born in Mumbai of Bengali-Marathi descent. Her mother Tanuja is an actress, while her late father Shomu Mukherjee was a film director and producer. Her maternal aunt is the late actress Nutan, with whom she holds the record for the most wins (five times) of the Filmfare Award for Best Actress, and her maternal grandmother Shobhna Samarth and great grandmother Rattan Bai had both been involved in Hindi cinema.

Her paternal uncles are film producers; Joy Mukherjee and Deb Mukherjee. Kajol's paternal grandfather, Sashadhar Mukherjee, was a filmmaker. His wife Satirani Devi, Kajol's paternal grandmother, was the sister of Ashok Kumar, Anoop Kumar and Kishore Kumar. Kajol's cousins Rani Mukerji, Sharbani Mukherjee and Mohnish Behl are also Bollywood actors; whereas her cousin Ayan Mukerji is a director. Kajol's younger sister Tanisha Mukherjee is also an actress.

Kajol married Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn on February 24, 1999. The couple have 2 children, a daughter named Nysa (born in 2003) and a son named Yug (born in 2010).

On April 10, 2008, Kajol's father died after suffering from a cardiac arrest. His funeral was held the same day and was attended by other Bollywood personalities.

CAREER:-

Kajol left her school St. Josephs convent at Panchgani and started her career at the age of seventeen. Her debut film was 1992's Bekhudi, which was a box office failure. In 1993, she shot to fame with her second film, Abbas-Mustan's thriller Baazigar. The film saw her co-starring alongside Shahrukh Khan, with whom she later went on to make a popular pairing in a number of films, all of which were box office successes.

Her first release in 1994, Udhaar Ki Zindagi, was a box-office failure, but her performance in the film won the BFJA Best Actress Award. She next starred in her first collaboration with Yash Raj Films, the romantic drama Yeh Dillagi (1994). Her performance as Sapna, a strong dreamy girl who leaves her paternal home to make her own life in the big city, earned her a first nomination for Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards.

In 1995 Kajol appeared in the two biggest hits of the year in India. Her first release was Rakesh Roshan's Karan Arjun. The film, which dealt with reincarnation, became the second-highest grossing film of the year. While her next three releases that year failed commercially, her last release, Aditya Chopra's directorial debut, the romance Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, was not only the biggest hit of that year, but one of Hindi cinema's most successful films. In 2008, the film entered its twelfth year in Mumbai theaters, grossing over 12 billion rupees overall, making it one of the biggest blockbusters in Bollywood. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was also a major critical success; it won ten Filmfare Awards, and Kajol's performance as a young NRI who falls for Shahrukh Khan's character was praised, earning her a first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. In 2005, Indiatimes Movies ranked the movie amongst the 25 Must See Bollywood Films, citing it as a "trendsetter of sorts". In that same year's retrospective review by Rediff, Raja Sen stated "Aditya [Chopra] ... wisely picked Kajol to play Simran, the real-as-life actress bringing warmth and credulity to the initially prudish and reluctant Simran. Not to mention the on-screen chemistry that has become the stuff of legend."

Kajol had only one release in 1996, Bambai Ka Babu, opposite Saif Ali Khan, which was a box office failure. In 1997, Kajol starred in Gupt: The Hidden Truth. Co-starring actors Bobby Deol and Manisha Koirala, the film was one of the highest grossing films of that year. Apart from that, her performance was a significant development for female actors in Bollywood; she was the first female actor to win the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. Her next film release that year was Hameshaa. Like Karan Arjun, the film dealt with reincarnation, but unlike the latter, it failed at the box office. She next starred in her first Tamil film, Minsaara Kanavu. Her final release of that year was the romantic-comedy Ishq, where she was paired with her then-future husband Ajay Devgan. It performed well at the box office.

Kajol had further success in 1998, as she was the main lead starred in three of the year's biggest hits. She first starred opposite Salman Khan in the comedy Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. The film was the fourth highest grossing film of the year. Her next release, Dushman alongside Sanjay Dutt, did moderately well at the box office. She had a double role in the film, and won her first Star Screen Award for Best Actress for her performance. She next starred opposite Ajay Devgan in the romance Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, which was the second biggest hit of that year. However, her biggest success that year came with her final release, Karan Johar's directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which paired her again with Shahrukh Khan and went on to become the biggest hit of the year in both India and overseas. She played the role of Anjali, a young college student who is secretly in love with her closest friend, and many years after breaking contact meets him again after the death of his wife. She won her second Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance.

Kajol's first release in 1999 was the drama film Dil Kya Kare. She played the supporting role of Nandita Rai, which was well received. She had a hit with her second release, the family drama Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain. Starring alongside Anil Kapoor, Kajol received another Best Actress nomination at the Filmfare. She had an unsuccessful year in 2000, as her only release that year, Raju Chacha went unnoticed.

Kajol had only two films released in 2001. She first played a double role in the drama Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, which was a commercial failure. However, she reinvented her success in her second venture with Karan Johar, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which was a major grosser in India and the top-grossing Indian production of all-time in the overseas market until 2006. Kajol's role was that of Anjali, a young Punjabi woman from Delhi's market Chandni Chowk, who falls for the rich Rahul, played by Shahrukh Khan. Her comic-dramatic performance won her several awards, including her third Filmfare Best Actress Award and her second Star Screen Award for Best Actress. Critic Taran Adarsh wrote of her performance in the film, "Kajol is first-rate in the role of a typical Chandni Chowk lass. Her Punjabi dialect will win her immense praise." The Hindu wrote, "Kajol -- in only her second appearance this year, the first one being in a double role in ``Kajol ... steals the thunder from under very high noses indeed. With her precise timing and subtle lingering expression, she is a delight all the way." This was Kajol's last collaboration with Khan until they would be cast again by Johar as a lead pair in early 2010.

Following the success of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kajol took a sabbatical from full-time acting for five years. She gave birth to her daughter Nysa in 2003. She made a successful comeback in 2006 with Kunal Kohli's drama Fanaa, one of the highest grossing films of the year. Portraying a blind Kashmiri girl who falls in love with a Kashmiri terrorist (played by Aamir Khan) in the film, she won her fourth Filmfare Best Actress Award.

U, Me aur Hum, which released on 11 April 2008, marked her husband Ajay Devgan's directorial debut. For her performance as an Alzheimer's patient in the film, she received her tenth Filmfare Best Actress Award nomination. Raja Sen wrote in his review, "... Kajol ... can span through happy-breezy with her eyes closed, and so the first half doesn't even pose her a challenge, but when Alzheimer's strikes Piya and she begins to forget all that matters in her life, Kajol raises the bar strikingly high."

Kajol was recently seen alongside Shahrukh Khan in Karan Johar's drama My Name Is Khan, which is based on a true story, against the backdrop of perceptions on Islam post 11 September. Filming commenced in December 2008 in Los Angeles and ended in October 2009. Upon its release in February 2010, the film received mainly positive reviews from critics and became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in the overseas market. Kajol's portrayal of Mandira, a divorced single mother who marries a Muslim autistic man was praised by critics, with Rajeev Masand writing, "Bringing emotional depth to what is essentially Rizwan's story, Kajol is immensely likeable as Mandira, using her eyes to convey volumes, topping the performance off with a powerful breakdown scene that literally puts her through the wringer." Kajol won her fifth Best Actress award at the Filmfare, a record which she shares with her late aunt, actress Nutan. She next starred alongside Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in We Are Family, an Indian adaptation of the Hollywood movie Stepmom (1998). Directed by Siddharth Malhotra, Hindustan Times critic Mayank Shekhar stated, "The premise is stuff dry tissues are made for. Yet, the pathos here is produced not from moments, but from performances alone: a stunning Kajol’s in particular. She appears superior to Susan Sarandon, I suspect." Her next film, Toonpur Ka Superhero, a live-action/animated film, was released in December 2010

Hollywood most hottest and sexiest, Kim Kardashian has no problem letting cameras into her life or athletes between her legs. But the reality star has to draw the line somewhere. And that place is apparently at her front gate.

A fan showed up at the edge of Kim's property today, and while no incident seems to have gone down, Kardashian did take to Twitter to warn off others. She wrote:

KARISHMA KAPOOR IS BACK

Much of Karishma Kapoor’s success can be attributed to her spicy numbers like ‘Sarkai Lo Khatiya’, ‘Sexy Sexy’, and many others. Now, the lost in the dark item girl of tinsel town is back in the limelight once again and how. Not only is elder Kapoor sister doing a full length role in Vikram Bhatt’s 3D horror flick ‘Dangerous Ishq’, the girl is going all glam once again with a cameo ‘item’ entry in multi-starrer ‘Housefull 2’.

Well, Karishma was not the first choice for this item number and Sajid Nadiawala had first made the offer to the Bong beauty Rani Mukherjee. When Rani refused to do it, he offered it to Karisma with whom he has already worked in films like ‘Jeet’ and ‘Judwaa’.

As for us, we can’t just wait to see the sexy lady groove on-screen once again!!

ASHLEY HEBERT - IN LOVE

At times, she wondered if this was all a mistake. But in the end, The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert says she found the happy ending she dreamed of.

This summer, we've seen Ashley roasted to her face, ridiculed and jerked around by Bentley Williams, and ditched by two other men late in the season.

Her take on those ups and downs? All's well that ends well.

"There were certainly moments where I thought I'd made a mistake agreeing to be the Bachelorette and thought it wasn't going to end well," she said.

"But you come out a stronger person and learn so many things about yourself. Ultimately, I know I did the right thing. I'm so happy, so in love."

"I found a great man. It's going strong – we've been hanging out and talking all the time. I hoped I would leave with this type of relationship."

With the season finale looming Monday night, Hebert is anxious to go public with the identity of the last man standing - but is it Ben or J.P.?

"I'm really ready for this to be over so we can go into the light of day and get on with normal everyday life," the 26-year-old Maine native says.

RAKHI SAWANT - WANTS TO MARRY BABA RAMDEV

Well, it seems that the queen of controversies, Rakhi Sawant is devoid of any offers these days. So, in order to make her presence felt, she has created ripples once again by expressing her weird desire to marry Yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

This adds to her list of controversies which range from her controversial stay in ‘Big Boss’, her walking out of ‘Nach Baliye’ in a huff, her infamous romance, breakup and then patchup with Abhishek Avasthi, her kiss with Mika Singh, her fake promises on ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ and last but not the least the very controversial blunders she made during ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’.

MINISSHA LAMBA - "WANTED TO BE A WAR JOURNALIST"

Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba recently visited Kolkata to promote the new entertainment channel from UTV group called UTV STARS. Our correspondent caught up with her after the event for an informal chat.

How do you feel about UTV stars?

I think it's going to be great. I think we are going to come a lot closer to the people. Our lives are not really that extraordinary so half the things we tell to the press are made up. I think people are going to know about our really boring lives. I believe they will get to know us better.

Do you think there will be privacy issues?

Well our media still has a lot of respect for privacy and there is a great ethic code still present. Compared to the west we have a lot more privacy. So I don't think there'll be any such problem.

Recently you are part of BHEJA FRY 2 and the film didn't do so well in the box office. Why do you think that it was so?

Why do you say that? The film made money and the producer is malamal right now. He's yet to take me out to dinner as a treat.

Still what was the problem with the movie? It didn't attract a cult following like BHEJA FRY.

I guess we are used to a lot of cult movies right now and when BHEJA FRY came out it was a comedy and everybody was amazed by how it was shot in one room. Today for a film to become a cult film you need for it to be more than a comedy. It has to be a film that addresses society. It has to be a film that dealt about very serious things but the way that its shot has to be a cult film. It is very difficult for comedies to become cult films.

Tell us about your upcoming films.

There is a film coming called HUM TUM SHABANA. It's also comedy directed by Mr. Sagar Ballary. There is another film called JOKER and then there is ZILLA GHAZIABAD. HUM TUM SHABANA will release in September and the other two will release next year.

Tell us about your experience at Cannes film Festival. How was it?

It was beautiful and I think in the West they have really got the red carpet thing packed and they know how to do it beautifully out there. So to experience the original place of Cannes, which is the largest festival in the world, was great. But I would like to add that we in India also do the red carpet premieres very well. The only difference is that our journalists don't wear tuxedos behind the line which is the uniform there.

KRISTIN CAVALLARI - MOVING FORWARD QUITE WELL

Looking to be doing quite well as she moves on after her sudden split with Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari treated herself to a little retail therapy in Beverly Hills.

The newly single reality star kept cool in the summertime heat in a sleeveless black top and denim short-shorts as she browsed the offerings at Planet Blue before emerging with a bagful of purchases.

The sighting comes as Miss Cavallari's name has landed in plenty of tabloid rumors following her called-off wedding with Bears QB Cutler - with one of the more recent concocted stories coming from HollywoodLife.

The often off-based site alleged that the split stemmed from Kristin accusing Jay of faking his football injury, of which Kristin tweeted, “I never said ANYTHING about Jay’s knee injury. I’ve always backed him 100%. Stop trying to start. I know he was seriously hurt.”

SELENA GOMEZ'S PALM BEACH BREAK

And while she's currently occupied with touring for her just-released album "When The Sun Goes Down," a report from Cinema Blend tells that Miss Gomez is a frontrunner to take over for Kristin Davis' Charlotte in a "Sex and the City" prequel.

ASHLEY GREENE AT MADEO RESTAURANT

Hollywood most hottest and sexiest babe, Ashley Greene was seen at Madeo’s restaurant in West Hollywood.

The “Breaking Dawn” babe looked to be in great spirits as she made her exit, sporting a bright pink top and black trousers.

Given that she rose to fame because of the “Twilight Saga” films, Ashley told press she’s a bit intimidated venturing out of that genre.

"It has been equally terrifying and exhilarating. With 'Twilight' at least you are basically growing with this character. So doing something like 'LOL' that is a comedy, which I have never done before, with an incredible cast and a really great director was very intimidating.”

"But I feel like if it wasn't that way there would be a problem. Everything I do I am a little bit afraid of because I care about it and I want to do a great job. It's a new territory and it's uncharted."

SANJAY DUTT IN A NEW LOOK IN "CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR"

Ameesha Patel is ecstatic about her return on the big screen with Sanjay Dutt in CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR. Playing a Mumbai cop, Dutt is shown as someone who is a big fan of spies and is pretty well read on all the famous spy thrillers ever written in different parts of the world. In fact he has also been given a peculiar look that takes a huge departure from the suave persona that he carries and instead lands him in stupidity zone.

'Yeah, you will fall in love with Sanju's look in the film,' laughs Ameesha, 'When I saw him for the first time in that get up, I was amazed. It is so funny and comical. Hats off to Sanju for first agreeing to do a part like this and then managing to carry off his look so well. I am sure audience would have huge bouts of laughter just on seeing the kind of personality that Sanju is carrying in the film.'

While Ameesha seems to be quite happy talking about her much senior co-star here, one wonders what exactly does she get to do in the film. After all she has been missing on the scene for quite a while and one would expect nothing but something really remarkable from the pretty woman out here.

'Well, I am playing the character of Sona who gets caught in a scam by default. The only person in the world who believes her is Chatur and goes all out to help her out,' informs Ameesha, 'This leads to a series of funny incidents involving both of us. We have largely shot this film in South Africa, something that has also lent a visual appeal to the whole comical drama. Locations out there are so stunning.'

Also starring Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover, Satish Kaushik and Suresh Menon in principal roles, CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR is directed by Ajay Chandok and releases all over on 19th August.

ADRIANA LIMA WITH VALENTINA AT THE MIAMI BEACH

Back out for a little more fun in the sun, Adriana Lima and daughter Valentina Jaric kicked off the day at the beach in Miami Beach, Florida on Monday (July 25).

The Victoria's Secret supermodel once agains donned an itsy-bitsy bikini as she romped about the sandy Atlantic shoreline with her too-cute tot.

The sunshine state holiday comes as Miss Lima continues to build her already successful modeling career after taking a break upon giving birth to little Valentina.

Most recently, Adriana shot a new BlueMarine ad campaign while also becoming the spokeswoman for Brazilian social gaming company Megacity by Votsu and the face of Brazilian luxury brand Forum.
