BABY GIRL FOR LARA DUTTA AND MAHESH BHUPATHI

The wait finally got over on last Friday when Lara Dutta delivered a baby girl at around 4 pm. Not to mention here that Mahesh Bhupathi is on the top of the world with the latest addition to his family and the couple has been a lot of congratulatory messages from friends and colleagues fof the film industry. Here are some of the tweets from his B-town friends:

Abhishek Bachchan: @Maheshbhupathi @DuttaLara CONGRATULATIONS guys. Lots and lots of love.

Bipasha Basu: Congratulations to Lara n Mahesh fr hving a baby girl!Wow!

Neil Nitin Mukesh: Congratulations to my dear @Maheshbhupathi and darling Lara on the arrival of the princess !! GOD BLESS U ALL

Neha Dhupia: Congratulations to the lovely couple @Maheshbhupathi and @DuttaLara on the arrival of their little princess! Lots of happiness , always.

Gul Panag: Best wishes!!

Meanwhile, astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi suggests a Shanti Puja for the new born. He analyzes, “The child was born on January 20 which maker a Number 2 (Moon) person in numerology. She is a Capricorn (ruler Saturn – Number 8) while her destiny number also adds up to the same number which means the girl is doubly ruled by ‘shani’ which is a positive and not-so-positive sign. Since she is ruled by Number 2, she is automatically ruled by Number 7 (Ketu) as these two numbers always go hand in hand”.

“Talking about her stars, she is born under the ‘Jyestha Nakshatra’ which is considered inauspicious and a ‘shanti puja’ for the same needs to conducted as soon as possible” advices Bhavikk very strongly.

“Also, in her sixth house, she has ‘Chandra (Moon) and Rahu’ placed together which makes it a ‘Grahan Yog’ affecting health (especially pain in the legs), defeat from enemies and losses leading to bad debts. Also, the presence of ‘Ketu’ in the twelfth house indicates ‘Pitrudosh’ which may curtail success in the long run. To eradicate these ‘doshas’, a puja needs to be done at earliest and make her wear a ‘Blue Sapphire’ (only after testing) at a later stage”, Bhavikk adds further.

LARA DUTTA AND VINAY PATHAK IN "CHALO DILLI"

Eros International in association with Big Daddy production & Bheegi Basanti Entertainment, CHALO DILLI which is slated to release on 29th April 2011.

Directed by Shashant Shah and Produced under Dutta's husband Mahesh Bhupathi's production company, the movie stars Lara Dutta and Vinay Pathak in lead roles.

The music of the movie is given by Gourov Dasgupta, Anand Raj Anand, Sachin Gupta and Rohit Kulkarni.

Chalo Dilli is a road movie. A journey that begins with the dynamic Mihika Banerjea. A strong willed young woman who is a Senior Vice President of a top multinational Financial Institution in Mumbai. A jet setter, go-getter, no nonsense woman, Mihika divides the world into losers and winners and knows which side she is on. Mrs Clear Cut!

The premise is simple. Mihika is heading back home from Mumbai to Delhi (to her banker husband who lives and works there), and misses her flight and encounters Manu Gupta, a podgy and loud ' Ladies Cut-piece' merchant who has a small 10 by 10 shop at Karol Bagh Delhi.

Manu is everything that Mihika isn't. Loud. Crass. Obnoxious. Rude. (He is that guy who talks on his cellphone loudly in the theatre and then spits gutkaa juice in the aisle). He isn't an idiot. He is very smart. Street smart. But mostly over smart. And boy...do they pay for it!

As fate (and the script) would have it... Mihika lands up in a situation where she and Manu are stuck together for the rest of the journey to Delhi.

A bizarre journey full of adventure, madness and crazy comic moments with the oddest traveling couple ever! (She drinks Evian and while he is cool drinking from a bore well...She smokes Virginia Slims, he chews Gopal zarda)

A bizarre journey through air, road and rail from Mumbai, via Jaipur to Delhi.

A journey which along with these two protagonists showcases the real India. Its colorful and funny people and their eccentricities.

But above all it's a journey within for Mihika. Where the real growth happens on reaching her destination of Delhi... (Which is a big moment because getting home turns out to be tougher than she thought.)

And once she finally reaches Delhi (in a span of a day and a half), tired, worn out and with enough stories to tell her grandkids someday, the moral of the story dawns upon her.

"Do not judge people by face value..Including yourself".

Come. Be a part of the craziest roller coaster journey of your lives...with Mihika and Manu, and their resounding war cry "Chalo Dilli".

LARA DUTTA IN "DON 2"

Bollywood hot celebrity, Lara Dutta will be playing the role of Shahrukh Khan’s moll in Don 2, the role that Eesha Koppikhar played in the original. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra will play the role of leading lady in the movie.

Icy winds started blowing the minute Priyanka landed on the Berlin airport. An insider revealed, “Lara was already there a week before PC. The two barely exchanged hellos with frosty smiles before they directed their warmth to SRK and the director Farhan Akhtar.”

These two beauties have had a long history. The two were crowned as Miss Universe and Miss World in the same year. They both started their career with the same movie Andaaz. Lara portrayed a role of grieving widow and had the author backed role, but it was Priyanka who walked away to stardom and the plum assignments with Khiladi No.1, Akshay Kumar. Since then, Lara has steered clear of working with PC, sources say that she was hesitant to sign Don 2 as well.

When Farhan assured her that he would flesh out her role, only then she agreed to sign the film. Also, SRK has a soft spot for Mahesh Bhupatis latest girlfriend, ever since she acted in his home production Billu, a part that every actress had refused.

Even without their past differences, things between them will never be easy. In Bollywood, whenever any two actresses shoot together, there is stress on the sets. The list of worries is endless; it starts from who has the better room, better fee, better clothes and it ends at better scenes. Piggy Chops was already wary, exhausted, and edgy when she reached Berlin a week after her former friend and now a rival had got comfortable with the unit. Over here Lara clearly has a head start.

These two divas have come face to face after six years and are not ready to act like the long lost friends. The biggest fact that they have uneven roles is enough reason for them to be suspicious about each other. One is promised to be the leading lady and the other has been promised an important role. The insecurities have already started to surface with both the ladies wanting to stay in their own corners for as long as they can.

A close source revealed, “To start with, their roles are unequal. If you see Eesha Koppikhar’s role in Don you will know what Lara is supposed to play. Priyanka has had a stressful dubbing and shoot, which she had to complete in two days. In addition, there was a section in the industry who wanted to demolish her performance in Anjaana Anjaani. She is left in a depressed state of mind. The last thing she would want in Berlin is stressful ambience.”
