The media could not refrain from asking the big question during the 'first look' launch of Kareena Kapoor's film HEROINE. Though right in the beginning of the function UTV's Siddharth Roy Kapur made it clear that questions not pertaining to the film will not be welcomed. Everyone was aware about the news of the postponement of Saif-Kareena wedding that was to happen in October 2012 and the media wanted to confirm with the (would-be) bride herself the veracity of the report that had appeared in a morning tabloid. The bride termed the report as speculative yet did not deny it and informed the media that the prerogative to announce the wedding date is of the groom i.e. Saif Ali Khan, the Nawab of Pataudi.

As far as she is concerned her priority at the moment is her big film HEROINE. It is obvious that Kareena Kapoor is not in a hurry to give up the privileges of a 'heroine' to don the mantle of a dashing Nawab's Begum.

Very much on the expected lines, this week's major release, from the Bhatt banner, Kunal Khemu's BLOOD MONEY, failed to embark upon even a decent start. While the single screens were better at 25-30 percent, the multiplexes were disappointing at around 15-20 percent. The collections did see an increase during the latter shows (especially at single screens of the Hindi belt), but it was not encouraging enough. All the same, given the high number of screens, BLOOD MONEY will still manage a decent weekend haul.

Meanwhile last Friday's AGENT VINOD saw a sizeable fall in collections during the weekdays, after a good 28-29 crore weekend. As per early estimates, the 62 crore (all inclusive) Saif-Kareena starrer has netted around 38 crore (to be validated) during the opening week from India, and will have to perform reasonably well in the second week, to get to the positive side of the fulcrum.

Where a many Bollywood beauties bid goodbye to their careers and plan to get settled as they reach their thirties, actress Kareena Kapoor is riding higher and higher, who turns 31 today.

Kareena Kapoor was born on 21st September 1980, often informally referred to as Bebo, is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. During her career, Kapoor has received six Filmfare Awards, among nine nominations, and has been noted for her performances in a range of film genres; these include her work from contemporary romantic dramas to comedies, period films to major Bollywood productions, as well as less publicised independent films.

Born into a family where her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and elder sister Karisma were actors, Kapoor faced the media spotlight from a very young age, but did not make her acting debut until the 2000 film Refugee. Her melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... became India's highest-grossing film in the overseas market in 2001, and is one of her biggest commercial successes to date. Her portrayal of a sex worker in Chameli (2004) proved to be the turning point in her career and she was later noted for her performances in the critically acclaimed projects Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006).

In 2007, Kapoor received the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in Jab We Met, a romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali. She went on to play the lead female role in the thriller Kurbaan (2009), for which she earned critical acclaim, and the drama 3 Idiots (2009), which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. Having done so, Kapoor has established herself as a leading actress of the Hindi film industry. In addition to movie acting, Kapoor is a regular stage performer and has launched her own clothing line in association with being the brand ambassador for the retail chain Globus. The local authorities demolished a major set of Prakash Jha's upcoming film "AARAKSHAN"in Bhopal. The demolition was ordered by the District Magistrate's office. Patchwork scenes with Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan were scheduled to be shot on the set later this month.

Prakash Jha Productions had taken land on lease from the Minal Residency Group, not realizing that it was disputed property.

From end-January till end of March shooting continued on the constructed set.

The set that has been demolished included an entire bungalow that belongs to the character played by Mr. Amitabh Bachhan in the film and parts of the tabela, where informal schools were set up in the film. This particular set was spread over an acre and a half of land.

Prakash Jha, "We had no idea that the land where we had constructed was disputed. But I do feel that even though the demolition had to go through, the authorities knew we had constructed only temporary structures for the purpose of shooting. Why demolish it? It would have been dismantled within a month. Everyone in Bhopal knew it was a set. The demolition has definitely upset our plans. The reason we had left the set standing was because there were a couple of patchwork scenes with Saif and Deepika that remained to be shot. Now we have to work out alternative arrangements."

ADM Bhopal, Mr. Rajnish Shrivastava, "It was an illegal structure, so it was demolished. The High Court had directed us to demolish the structure. We did what we were supposed to, because the construction on that area was not legal."

Remember the 90s super hit film ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ starring the fab jodi of flamboyant actor Saif Ali Khan and tough guy Akshay Kumar? Buzz has it that Saif is planning a sequel to the Box Office money spinner after seventeen years it first saw the light of the day.

Apparently, Saif will be reuniting with Akshay Kumar for Illuminati Films, his own production house.

Talking to a daily about the sequel, a jubilant Saif said, “You know the funny part is that I wanted to make a sequel to ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ with Akshay when it had released but people asked me not to be silly since sequels don’t work in India. I however, kept saying that they do. Sequels work all the time in America. Making a sequel to the film is a pretty good idea and I might do it now.”

Although Saif has many films in his kitty, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ sequel is definitely on the cards.

After wrapping off with ‘Agent Vinod’, Saif will be busy with numerous projects under Illuminati Films.

Well, one thing is for sure that Saif and Akshay fans would love to see the ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ sequel!

After 'One Night At The Call Centre' and '3 Idiots' another Chetan Bhagat’s novel is going to make as a film i.e, '2 States'. Siddharth Anand directing this un-titled film with Saif Ali Khan. '2 States' story about Punjabi who will marry his Tamilian.

Saif Ali Khan has been chosen to play the lead and the actor plans to spend time with Chetan Bhagat to understand his character, Krish, and get into Krish’s mind. Says Bhagat on the film, “It is not important for Krish to be played by a Punjabi or Ananya to be played by a Tamilian. I’m aware Saif is not a Punjabi. To me that serves the story’s purpose even better. The whole idea of 2 States is to convey a pan-India appeal. The novel is about an inter-state union. What better way to show this than to have a non-Punjabi actor playing my Punjabi protagonist?”

Bhagat admits that 2 States is his most personal novel to date and the screen adaptation most precious to him.

I barely have time to breathe. I just came to Mumbai for two days after being away for 25 days. Now, I`m off to Latvia for over a month`s shooting.
