The “High School Musical” hottie chatted with host Nikki Novak and looked gorgeous in a flirty white getup with ravishing red nail polish.

Vanessa noted that while she may have gotten her start in teeny bopper flicks, she’s not interested in run-of-the-mill roles anymore.

“I only want to do something that I think will be a lasting role. I want to leave a trademark of sorts. I filter through a lot of — not junk, but... It's funny because before I had really expanded my horizons and allowed people to see me in different characters, everything I got was in the same world, this high school team fun vibe. Now I'm getting these roles that are very heavy, dramatic, prostitutes and drug addicts. If it's something I haven't done, I gravitate toward it. I’m very picky."

Miss Hudgens told press, "I think at the end of the day you have to do parts that you could semi-relate to. I'm certainly not one who is going to rob a bank, but there is a part of me that loves smashing things and I get to do that."

He spent months in America lobbying to get this job. He held out a lot of hope. But he can't compete with Zac and Vanessa. They are two of the biggest stars in the States and will make American X Factor the biggest show in the world."

And while this is Cowell's desire, it's still up in the air, as the insider added, "They are more popular than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with under-30s in America. They're in huge demand and would have to turn down a lot of work in order to do this."

As for the upcoming film, the animated flick - which going to release on September 24 is directed by Zack Snyder, starring Abbie Cornish and Ryan Kwanten.

A synopsis via IMDB tells: "Soren, a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie's, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers.
