IVIAN SARCOS FROM VENEZUELA WAS CROWNED MISS WORLD, 2011

London, England was rife with beautiful women last night (November 6) as the Miss World 2011 Pageant was in town.

And at the end of the evening, Ivian Sarcos from Venezuela was crowned Miss World at the Earls Court ceremony.

Ms. Sarcos is a 21-year-old human resources graduate who aspires to work with children and make the world a better place.

Miss World 2011 was broadcast to 150+ countries where over a billion viewers watched the competition unfold between the 122 contestants.

VEENA MALIK SAYS 'NO' TO MOHAMMAD ASIF

Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif was declared guilty of match fixing by the British courts on October 28. Four days before the verdict, the depressed cricketer call up his ex-girlfriend Veena Malik asking her to be with him in London. It may be mentioned here that Veena Malik had a one and a half year long live-in relationship with the cricketer. They broke up eventually and Asif got married to Sanaa.

However, Veena has firmly turned down his request. She says, “It was a mutual friend from, London, Zahid Ali Saab, who called me on October 26 stating that Asif wanted to desperately see me, that he wanted a reconciliation.

I declined. How can I turn back the clock? Asif and I shared a beautiful if stormy relationship. We were together until 2008 when I came to know about his match-fixing activities; I left him.”

Veena added, “I can’t deny I still have feelings for him. Relationships don’t die, ” admits the actress, and adds, “I’ve no hard feelings about any of my former boyfriends. My time with Asif was special. But I’ve moved on.

Asif is a happily married man. I know his wife Sanaa. In fact, when they were getting married, she called me up to find out about my relationship with Asif. I told her to please go ahead with the marriage.” So firm is Veena about not rekindling her relationship with Asif that she even cancelled her trip to England to avoid meeting him. She said, “I was supposed to be there this week for an event. It’s best not to create situations where things can go out of hand.”

"I'd just like to say, basically, that none of those allegations are true. I know that I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim," he told the host, before noting he's "never met" Yeater.

SWEET MILEY CYRUS SEEN IN PINK COSTUME FOR "HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA" PROJECT

Nabbing herself a new role, Miley Cyrus has reportedly signed on to star in Sony Pictures Animation project, "Hotel Transylvania".

The former "Hannah Montana" star is said to be taking on the character of Mavis, who is the daughter of the Adam Sandler role of Dracula.

"Hotel Transylvania" is being directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, with a plot summary as follows: "Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula's (Sandler) lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free from meddling from the human world. But here's a little known fact about Dracula: he is not only the Prince of Darkness; he is also a dad. Over-protective of his teenage daughter, Mavis, Dracula fabricates tales of elaborate dangers to dissuade her adventurous spirit. As a haven for Mavis, he opens the Hotel Transylvania, where his daughter and some of the world's most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – can kick back in safety and peace. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis."

Also starring Kevin James as Frank, Fran Drescher as Eunice, David Spade as Quasimodo and Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon as Wayne and Wanda, the film is eyeing a September 21, 2012 release date.

MUSIC COMPOSER, BHUPEN HAZARIKA PASSED AWAY TODAY

After Jagjit Singh passed away last month, noted music-composer Bhupen Hazarika's death has further left a huge void in the Indian music industry, say celebrities.

Hazarika, who was on a ventilator for four months, had been in and out of hospital. He passed away Saturday at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.

Filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi, who collaborated with the musician on her films like "Ek Pal","Rudaali" and "Daman" was at the hospital when he died.

"The nation will mourn the death of Bhupen Hazarika," Lajmi told TV reporters.

The film industry remembered the singer and many paid condolences through Twitter.

ASHLEY GREENE AT THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE AVON FOUNDATION

She’s always up for a swanky shindig, and last night (November 2) Ashley Greene showed up at the 125th Anniversary of the Avon Foundation Global Voices for Change Gala.

The “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” actress looked absolutely radiant in an electric blue one-shoulder dress as she posed outside the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York City.

Also in the house were super hot celebrities like Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson, Delta Goodrem, and Natasha Bedingfield who all got together for some smashing good photos.

Fergie actually played host for the awards, which highlight the Avon Foundation’s philanthropic efforts and promote fundraising for causes important to women.

SELENA GOMEZ & EVA LONGORIA - ATTENDED THE FULFILLMENT FUND'S 2011 STARS GALA

Stepping out for the charitable organization's annual celebration, Selena Gomez and Eva Longoria were among the stars attending The Fulfillment Fund's '2011 Stars Gala' in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday night.

Held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, the two lovely ladies joined around 900 guests in honoring Walt Disney Studios Chairman Rich Ross and Founders' Humanitarian Award recipients Madeleine and Tom Sherak.

The event was hosted by actor Jason Segel and Kermit the Frog while featuring entertainment from Sinbad and a live performance by "The Lion King" theatrical cast.

As for the cause, the Fulfillment Fund provides first-generation, low-income students with the support necessary to graduate from high school and go on to college.

"At the Fulfillment Fund, we help Los Angeles students overcome obstacles to pursuing the dream of a life-changing college education," said Fulfillment Fund CEO Andrea Cockrum. "We're so fortunate to have so many extraordinary supporters who are dedicated to helping promising youth from high-poverty communities stay on the path to higher education."

SAIF ALI KHAN - BECOMES THE 10TH NAWAB OF PATAUDI

Following the death of his father and celebrated cricketer Mansur Ali Khan, actor Actor Saif Ali Khan became the 10th Nawab of Pataudi in a private ceremony at the Pataudi Palace. The ceremony was presided over by senior residents from 52 villages. Mansur Ali Khan was the 9th Nawab of the estate of Pataudi which is in Haryana on the outskirts of Delhi.

Sisters, Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan, mom Sharmila Tagore and daughter Sara (from Saif’s marriage to Amrita Singh) were present to grace the occassion. The chief guest of the event was the Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The anointing comes after the end of the 40 days of mourning for the death of Mansur Ali Khan.
