SONAM KAPOOR HONOURED AS BEAUTY OF THE YEAR

Bollywood's eclectic, charismatic beauty and fashionista Sonam Kapoor is certainly on high! Besides films (two back-to-back successes RAANJHANAA and BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG), it seems Sonam is also hot favourite of the tinsel town and flavor of the season.

Recently, Vogue India celebrated the best in beauty at the fourth edition of the Vogue Beauty Awards 2013. Sonam was honoured with 'Beauty of the Year'. While Alia Bhatt was honoured for 'Best Debutant' while 'Most Beautiful Man' was presented to Ranveer Singh and Pallavi Das was awarded as 'BestModel'.

The beauty awards was well attended by Mumbai's glitterati including Bollywood stars Sonam Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Yaami Gautam, Dia Mirza, Diana Penty, Kunal Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Eesha Koppikar, Neha Dhupia and Zarine Khan. Also, seen at the event were models Pallavi Das, Lisa Haydon, Fleur Xavier, Nina Manuel, Evelyn Sharma, Dipannita Sharma, Shibani Dandekar, Sarah-Jane Dias along with well known faces Adhuna Akhtar, Prerna Goel, Pernia Qureshi, Maria Goretti, Tara Sharma Saluja, Tanisha Mukerjee, Sophie Choudry, Queenie Singh, Mini Mathur and Shenaz Treasurywala. VANESSA HUDGENS AT "YOUNG HOLLYWOOD STUDIO"

She’s always up to something fun, and last night, Vanessa Hudgens showed up at the Young Hollywood Studio in Los Angeles.

The “High School Musical” hottie chatted with host Nikki Novak and looked gorgeous in a flirty white getup with ravishing red nail polish.

Vanessa noted that while she may have gotten her start in teeny bopper flicks, she’s not interested in run-of-the-mill roles anymore.

“I only want to do something that I think will be a lasting role. I want to leave a trademark of sorts. I filter through a lot of — not junk, but... It's funny because before I had really expanded my horizons and allowed people to see me in different characters, everything I got was in the same world, this high school team fun vibe. Now I'm getting these roles that are very heavy, dramatic, prostitutes and drug addicts. If it's something I haven't done, I gravitate toward it. I’m very picky."

HRITHIK & KAREENA IN KARAN JOHAR'S "SHUDDHI"

There have been speculations about the star cast of "SHUDDHI" for a long time now. Finally Hrithik and Kareena have been finalized for the role.

The Director-Producer duo seems to be on a winning track after the huge success of AGNEEPATH, once again they both are back with SHUDDHI.

Says Karan Johar, "I'm excited to see Hrithik and Kareena back after 12 years."

Karan Johar says, "When Karan (Malhotra) came to me with SHUDDHI, his desire was to cast Hrithik and Kareena. I spoke to both of them and they were happy to be on board. The film is an intense love story and because it has a reincarnation theme, he has written a script that is dramatic and outstanding. Also, such a theme requires actors who can bring the desired intensity. To me, it is really an important casting. But I don't look at it as a coup. Kareena is beautiful, talented and a powerhouse performer. And Hrithik, well, what can I say? He can melt a nation just with his eyes."

SIMON COWELL REPORTEDLY EXPECTING CHILD WITH PAL'S WIFE

Switching paths in his busy life, Simon Cowell could be getting ready to welcome a little tike.

According to Us Weekly, the “X Factor” creator is reportedly expecting a baby with his friend Andrew Silverman’s wife, Lauren.

The tab continues that the New York socialite plans to leave her hubby for Simon because she is close to 10 weeks along in her pregnancy.

KATRINA KAIF'S LOSS IS DEEPIKA PADUKONE'S GAIN

Putting an end to all speculations, now it is confirmed that Deepika Padukone will be paired opposite Shahrukh Khan in his next home production HAPPY NEW YEAR. The film is directed by Farah Khan.

It was believed that Katrina Kaif was the first choice for the film, but due date problems she couldn't make it. Reportedly the actress has recently signed two film- Kabir Khan's next with Saif Ali Khan and Abhishek Kapoor's next opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.

For Deepika Padukone is like coming back to home, the actress who made her grand debut with Farah Khan's OM SHANTI OM and more than half a decade after her debut film, Deepika Padukone is pairing up with Shahrukh Khan again in CHENNAI EXPRESS.

As per the latest buzz, the film required SRK's heroine to speak fluent Marathi and probably, Katrina would have needed a long period of intense speech practice to sound like a prefect Marathi girl.

Katrina Kaif is currently busy shooting for her upcoming films DHOOM3 and BANG BANG, which will release later next year.

NATASHA HENSTRIDGE & DARIUS CAMPBELL FINALLY DECIDED TO GET SEPARATED

They got hitched back in March of 2011, and already Natasha Henstridge and Darius Campbell have filed for divorce.

The “Whole Nine Yards” starlet reportedly filed paperwork with the court, though Campbell told press the split was a “mutual decision.”

Darius would only say, “We decided to file for divorce and we ask for privacy at this time,” though speculation as to the reason for the breakup has already begun.

Per the official documents, Natasha and Darius have been separated since April 10th. They have no children together.

TODAY BOLLYWOOD FAMOUS SINGER, SONU NIGAM TURNS 40

Popular singer Sonu Nigam, who has rendered his soulful voice to Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Assamese, Punjabi, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi and Telugu music, turned 40 years on Monday.

The versatile singer started performing at the tender age of four years, while accompanying his father, Agam Kumar Nigam, for a stage show.

He started his Bollywood career at the age of 19.

In 1995, Sonu became popular as a television presenter by hosting one of the major singing reality shows on Indian television, 'Sa Re Ga Ma'.

He tasted success in the film industry with the song 'Sandese Aate Hai' from the film BORDER (1997).

The year 1999 proved to be a turning point in his career, as his album 'Deewana' was released and became a huge hit topping the charts. In the same year, he sung 'Yeh Dil Deewana' from the movie PARDES, which strengthened his foothold in Bollywood and marked his unique style of singing.

The singer has won several honours including two Filmfare awards, three IIFAA awards and one National award for the title track of 'KAL HO NAA HO.'

Influenced by the legendary pop singer Michael Jackson, Sonu released a tribute song 'The Beat of Our Hearts' in memory of the late singer Michael Jackson.

Sonu has judged many popular reality shows on television, like 'Amul Star Voice of India', 'Chhote Ustaad - Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz', 'X Factor (India)', 'Indian Idol'.

The singer married Madhurima on 2002 and has a son named Nevaan.

Recently the singer is making waves in Marathi music industry, with his latest song 'Matching Navra' from the film.

The “Carrie” actress looked to be in good spirits as she strolled inside sporting a bright orange skirt with a happy sun face pattern.

TODAY SANJAY DUTT TURNS 54 TODAY

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is serving his three and a half years term at the Yerwada jail in connection with the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, turned 54 years today.

According to reports, his wife Manyata has penned down a poem and personal letters to surprise Dutt on his birthday.

Bollywood celebs have also geared up to make this day special for Dutt as media reports said actor Ranbir Kapoor, director Rajkumar Hirani and film producer Bunty Walia have written letters for him.

These letters were posted earlier so that they reached him at Yerawada jail on his special day.

Dutt made his acting debut in 1981.

Some of his hit films include KARTOOS, KHOOBSURAT, DAAG: THE FIRE, 'HASEENA MAAN JAYEGI and the award winning VAASTAV: THE REALITY, for which he won his first Filmfare Best Actor Award.

His role in 2000's MISSION KASHMIR won him critical acclaim and a number of awards and nominations, as did his subsequent performance in KURUKSHETRA.

He tasted immense success with the National Award-winning blockbuster 'MUNNA BHAI M.B.B.S. (2003), which also garnered him several awards.

Gearing up for a new season of "The Voice," Christina Aguilera attended the NBC Summer Press Tour at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on July 27th, Saturday.

Showing off a trim figure, the "Dirty" singer wore a short, sleeveless, pink dress and nude heels as she posed for pics on the red carpet.

After taking a year off to focus on music and family, the 32-year-old songstress makes her triumphant return to the hit series and recently spoke to reporters about the decision.

Explaining her reasons, Christina said, "I have to take breaks and stay connected with myself. I think it’s important so that I can then be [my] best on camera and find [my] own happiness with it.”

Later, Ms. Aguilera added, "I’m a mom and … the cameras go off, I go home, I put on sweats and a T-shirt. The red lips come off. I check out and I’m mom and I needed some time, I needed some time to do that. He starts kindergarten this fall, I’m excited about that, but mom’s gotta pay the bills and gotta do her thing. I wanted to also, for myself, [to] have a moment… for me. It’s really important to take that time in this business, when everything’s give, give, give, especially when you’re on camera so much, you need to take it back for a second and bring it back to yourself and just realign some things and I’ve been on a really incredible journey the past six months and I just feel revived.”
