Kicking off the week with some promotional duties, Chloe Moretz showed up this morning at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

The “Carrie” actress looked to be in good spirits as she strolled inside sporting a bright orange skirt with a happy sun face pattern.

Chloe recently confessed that while her career is red hot these days, she still gets really intimidated sharing the screen with her famous costars.

"People like Julianne Moore and Michelle Pfeiffer - I grew up watching them and they're brilliant actresses, so you do have a point where you think, 'How am I here acting with you? How is that a thing that's happening?' That does blow your mind.”

TODAY SANJAY DUTT TURNS 54 TODAY

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is serving his three and a half years term at the Yerwada jail in connection with the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, turned 54 years today.

According to reports, his wife Manyata has penned down a poem and personal letters to surprise Dutt on his birthday.

Bollywood celebs have also geared up to make this day special for Dutt as media reports said actor Ranbir Kapoor, director Rajkumar Hirani and film producer Bunty Walia have written letters for him.

These letters were posted earlier so that they reached him at Yerawada jail on his special day.

Dutt made his acting debut in 1981.

Some of his hit films include KARTOOS, KHOOBSURAT, DAAG: THE FIRE, 'HASEENA MAAN JAYEGI and the award winning VAASTAV: THE REALITY, for which he won his first Filmfare Best Actor Award.

His role in 2000's MISSION KASHMIR won him critical acclaim and a number of awards and nominations, as did his subsequent performance in KURUKSHETRA.

He tasted immense success with the National Award-winning blockbuster 'MUNNA BHAI M.B.B.S. (2003), which also garnered him several awards.

Later successes came with MUSAFIR (2004), PLAN (2004), PARINEETA (2005) and DUS (2005). He also won critical acclaim for his performances in SHABD (2005), ZINDA (2006), SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA (2007), and AGNEEPATH (2012).

CHRISTINA AGUILERA SHOWS OFF ROCKIN' BOD AT NBC SUMMER PRESS TOUR

Gearing up for a new season of "The Voice," Christina Aguilera attended the NBC Summer Press Tour at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on July 27th, Saturday.

Showing off a trim figure, the "Dirty" singer wore a short, sleeveless, pink dress and nude heels as she posed for pics on the red carpet.

After taking a year off to focus on music and family, the 32-year-old songstress makes her triumphant return to the hit series and recently spoke to reporters about the decision.

Explaining her reasons, Christina said, "I have to take breaks and stay connected with myself. I think it’s important so that I can then be [my] best on camera and find [my] own happiness with it.”

Later, Ms. Aguilera added, "I’m a mom and … the cameras go off, I go home, I put on sweats and a T-shirt. The red lips come off. I check out and I’m mom and I needed some time, I needed some time to do that. He starts kindergarten this fall, I’m excited about that, but mom’s gotta pay the bills and gotta do her thing. I wanted to also, for myself, [to] have a moment… for me. It’s really important to take that time in this business, when everything’s give, give, give, especially when you’re on camera so much, you need to take it back for a second and bring it back to yourself and just realign some things and I’ve been on a really incredible journey the past six months and I just feel revived.”

UNTOLD FACTS OF AMITABH AND JAYA'S MARRIAGE

 

Amitabh Bachchan in a recent tweet has revealed that his movie ABHIMAAN which was released on 27 July 1973, today completed 40 years. Interestingly he also revealed that his marriage with Jaya Bhaduri too completes 40 years this year. The two had tied the nuptial knot on June 3, 1973.

Few may know that ABHIMAAN was inspired by the real life story of playback singer Kishore Kumar and his first wife Ruma Ghosh, who was a Bengal actress and a singer. Later ego hassles between the two lead to their divorce. Hence if you have seen the movie then note Amitabh Bachchan's name is intentionally called Subir Kumar akin to Kishore Kumar.

Coming to the marriage of Amitabh and Jaya, you many know that Jaya Bhaduri was quite attached to Hrishikesh Mukherjee as it was Hrishikeshdaa who gave her maiden break in Bollywood with Guddi. Later the duo shared a great understanding and both worked together in many movies like ABHIMAAN, CHUPKE CHUPKE, MILI, etc. In fact Jaya regarded Hrishikesh Mukherjee like his father. Hence during the making of ABHIMAAN when Amitabh and Jaya secretly decided to tie the nuptial knot, Hrishikesh Mukherjee was one among the selected few who attended the secret wedding. But what is interesting is that Hrishikesh Mukherjee attended the wedding not from Jaya's side, instead he was the guest from Amitabh's side! You may ask how?

Well it so happened when Amitabh and Jaya were finalizing the list of invitees to their wedding Jaya took Hrishikeshdaa's presence for granted as she knew he will obviously be present. On the contrary, Amitabh Bachchan first intimated Hrishikeshdaa about their marriage and requested him to be present to bless them on the wedding day.

Hence when Jaya Bhaduri broke the suspense to Hrishikeshdaa about her marriage and invited him for the marriage Hrishikeshdaa said, "Sorry, I cannot attend your marriage as I have committed myself to another wedding of my close friend."

A depressed Jaya revolted, "You cannot do that. You are like my father and without your presence how I merry can?" Hrishikeshdaa broke into laughter and said, "Arre pagli ... Amit ne mujhe pehle hi invite kiya hai... Isliye ab mein Amit ke taraf se teri shadi mein Aangoonga! "

Hearing this Jaya's wiped her tears and hugged Hrishikeshdaa.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif might chose to keep mum on their relationship, but their latest images speak a thousand words! In the latest edition of Stardust magazine, Ranbir is seen along with a bikini-clad Katrina on a beach. It is believed that the pictures were clicked during their Spanish holiday earlier this month.

Says Ram Kamal Mukherjee, the editor of Stardust, ''I think falling in love is beautiful. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif never admitted in public that they are in love with each other. But Stardust and my team from USA were constantly on the run for exclusive images and information. When we got these images, we were sure that the couple is very much in love with each other. Ranbir never spoke openly about Katrina, neither did Katrina admit that she is in love with Ranbir. But I guess these images will clear all assumptions and put an end to the speculation.

VETERAN ACTOR, PRAN PASSED AWAY ON FRIDAY AT THE AGE 93

Veteran Bollywood actor Pran, who was remembered for films like played MILAN, MADHUMATI, BOBBY and ZANJEER passed away yesterday in a Mumbai suburban hospital. He was 93.

The actor, who was known for his roles as a villain, performed in over 400 films. He was awarded the country's highest cinema honour, Dada Saheb Phalke award, in April.

He is survived by his wife Shukla Sikand and two sons, Arvind and Sunil, and daughter Pinky.

ALYSON HANNIGAN GRANTED TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER

Concerned for her family and her own safety, Alyson Hannigan was granted a temporary restraining order against a former mental patient.

According to reports from TMZ, the "How I Met Your Mother" star has been threatened by John Hobbs via Facebook and MySpace, as well as through her own website.

In court papers, the mother-of-two alleges the perpetrator is "mentally unstable and was recently discharged from a mental hospital."

The order covers Ms. Hannigan, her husband, and their two young children. Another hearing on the matter is scheduled for March 6.

Legendary film director, screenwriter and film producer Yash Chopra is dead. Chopra, 80, had been admitted to Lilavati hospital in Bandra on October 13 after being diagnosed with dengue, according to TV reports.

Known for making some of the best love stories and action dramas, the veteran had been busy shooting for his last directorial project — Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Noted comedian and filmmaker Jaspal Bhatti, 57, died in a road accident near Shahkot in the early hours on Thursday. Bhatti along with his son Jasraj who was on the wheel, and two others was coming to Jalandhar from Bathinda for the promotion of his new film 'Power Cut' when the car hit a tree on the roadside.
