ABHINAY DEO - CREDITS AAMIR FOR "DELHI BELLY"

Director Abhinay Deo, who has delivered his first hit in the form of DELHI BELLY, feels the film wouldn't have been the same if it wasn't for Aamir Khan.

Says the director, "DELHI BELLY wouldn't be a hit without Aamir Khan. I'll tell you the reason. Of course, the script was the same, but the contribution that Aamir has made is giving us a free hand. He trusted me 100% and told me to do the film the way I wanted. It was very easy for a producer to change the script which had so many abuses. But he didn't do any of that. Also, the way he backed and marketed the film, I don't think any producer would have been able to do."

But isn't this contrary to the interfering image of Aamir? 'I can't speak for other people. As far as I am concerned, I can't even believe that people call him interfering. I've never seen a person who is so dedicated to cinema and who gives 100 % freedom to the director and the creative team. He only puts his weight in the right places such as marketing,' states Abhinay.

And finally, setting the record straight about the sequel of DELHI BELLY, the director says, "There is no DELHI BELLY sequel as of now. It took six years to write DELHI BELLY. I don't know how long it will take to write its sequel. That was just a speculative news."

AMY WINEHOUSE PASSED AWAY THIS SATURDAY

Departing this world much too prematurely, Amy Winehouse passed away at her London home - with her body being discovered on Saturday afternoon (July 23) at 4PM.

With no signs of foul play, the late 27-year-old Grammy winning artist will undergo an autopsy tomorrow (July 24), with speculation understandably pointing towards a drug/alcohol overdose as cause of death.

Since news of Miss Winehouse's passing broke, an outpouring of tributes and well-wishes from fellow celebrities have flooded Twitter.

Among those commenting on the loss of a true talent were Dionne Bromfield Performing "Mama Said" with Amy Winehouse, who wrote, “So sad about Amy Winehouse -she was so talented. Really tragic.” Fellow singer Rihanna tweeted, “Dear God have mercy!!! I am SICK about this right now! #DearAmy”

Others taking to Twitter on the somber occasion included Nicki Minaj, who posted, “Please tell me Amy Winehouse didn’t die. Is this some sick joke?,” as well as Demi Moore, who sent her blessings by writing, “Truly sad news about Amy Winehouse. My heart goes out to her family. May her troubled soul find peace.”

And while her time on Earth may have come to a seemingly premature end, Amy gifted each and every one of us with timeless songs, priceless performances and candid interviews to help keep her memory alive in our hearts and minds for years to come.

ANNE HATHAWAY WITH ADAM SHULMAN

Taking a well-deserved break from her seemingly endless work efforts, Anne Hathaway joined boyfriend Adam Shulman for a romantic holiday in Capri, Italy.

The "Dark Knight Rises" actress looked summertime chic in an olden days periwinkle blue one-piece suit as she and her beau splashed about in the water during a cruise on designer Valentino's yacht.

The trip comes as Miss Hathaway recently spoke with Harper's Bazaar about life with her latest love, Mr Shulman, as she said, "So far, it's worked out great."

Anne continued to tell that Adam is much more mellow than previous romances, "which has its wonderful side, of course, but also it was exhausting, and sometimes it would freak me out. Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life."

EMRAAN'S GURUDAKSHINA TO MAHESH BHATT

MURDER 2 is a huge hit and Emraan Hashmi hasn't forgotten the promise that he made to Mahesh Bhatt years ago when he had just started in Bollywood. As per the pact between the two, Emraan is required to gift his mentor whatever he wants once his films turns out to be a success. The trend is following with Mahesh Bhatt ready to catch hold of Emraan and list down his demands.

"Yes, it is like a gurudakshina," Emraan breaks into a laugh here, "Mahesh saab has become really techno savvy of late and has been demanding all these cool cell phones and other gadgets whenever a film of mine becomes a hit. I have already gifted him some really cool exclusive cell phones. Then recently I gave him an I Pad. I am waiting for him to tell me what he wants now that MURDER 2 has become a big hit. I dread to think though that what he would demand eventually."

Meanwhile there would be lot more gifts that seem to be in the pipeline for Mahesh Bhatt. After all Emraan is coming back with another Bhatt- Vikram for RAAZ 3 who had launched him with FOOTPATH eight years ago. Also there is another film with Kunal Deshmukh who is responsible for giving him his first big hit in the form of JANNAT and with INFORMER they would certainly be looking forward to washing away the debacle of flood drama TUM MILE.

"Certainly, the intent is to better the work from the past," Emraan nods in agreement, "These are the kind of films that are cutting across genres and would speak for themselves. And then there are a couple of more films from outside banners that I am considering. You will hear a lot more in coming days."

SARAH HYLAND - "STRUCK BY LIGHTNING"

Working hard on her new project, Sarah Hyland was seen on the set of “Struck By Lightning” in Los Angeles.

The “Modern Family” babe looked super cute in a cheerleader’s uniform, later changing into a sassy tank top/short shorts combo to film scenes.

Sarah gets to work with some awesome Hollywood A-listers on “Struck By Lightning” including Christina Hendricks, Dermot Mulroney, and Chris Colfer.

The film is described as a coming of age comedy in which Colfer’s character blackmails his classmates into contributing to his own literary magazine.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE BACK WITH "DESI BOYZ"

Deepika Padukone has had enough of playing non-glam part in a series of films. So when Prakash Jha, Ashutosh Gowariker and Pradeep Sarkar asked her to turn plain Jane for their respective films, Deepika didn't protest and willingly stepped into plain suit-salwars, sarees and T-shirts respectively while also keeping her make-up minimal. Even in BREAK KE BAAD which was set in Mauritius, director Danish Aslam wanted her to play the girl next door which means designer outfits were out of question.

However none of that would be the case in DESI BOYZ where Deepika would be back at being her glamorous best. After consciously staying away from that make-up kit for her AARAKSHAN, KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY and LAFANGEY PARINDEY, Deepika has sent an SOS to her styling team and made sure that she comes across as an ultra glam personality in her winter release DESI BOYZ.

"Deepika is doing everything possible to stand out in the Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer," her friend continues, "Since the film is set in London, Deepika doesn't want to look out of place. Also, the film belongs to a genre that is quintessentially commercial and cool on eyes. During the shooting of her film, she summoned her stylist, costume designer, make-up staff and hair dressers to give her an ultra glam look. She also hit the gym hard to look in best shape and make heads turn. She knows that before this year comes to close; DESI BOYZ is one film that would present her in an altogether different light."

Deepika too admits that for DESI BOYZ she has gone through a definite make-over. "DESI BOYZ requires me to play glamorous and I have done whatever possible to make sure that I look my best," says Deepika who would next be seen in AARAKSHAN before she sizzles again in DESI BOYZ this winter.

And according to series honcho Patti Carr, Trevor Donovan won’t be exiting “90210” right away next season as was previously reported.

KATRINA - KEEN TO WORK WITH AAMIR KHAN

Working with Yash Chopra is a dream for every actress and Katrina Kaif's dream is about to come true. As you might already know, she has been signed for Yash Chopra's next directorial venture.

Says the pretty actress, "It's a big honour for any actress to work with Yash Chopra. He is a legend in his own right. He and Shahrukh Khan have done many wonderful films together. I'm extremely excited about working in that film."

Ask her about what made her choose this film and she immediately replies, "All the three factors- Yash Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan and the script excited me to do the film."

Katrina has already worked with Salman in the past and will soon be working with Shahrukh. So will we see her working with the third Khan, Aamir too? "I'd like to work with Aamir. But there's no project that we are doing together right now."

Let's hope the project comes soon so that we are able to see Aamir and Katrina together for the first time.
