BIPASHA IN "RACE 2"

With Bipasha Basu insisting that her role in under-production RACE 2 is just a guest appearance that she is doing mainly for Abbas-Mustan, it has pretty much turned out to be a dampener for her fans who were expecting a much bigger part for the lady. Though the role is currently being kept under the wraps, insiders insist that it is all a part of a well designed strategy.

"It is good that Bipasha herself has spoken about the role since this pretty much dissolves all rumours surrounding her inclusion in RACE 2," says an expert, "On a lighter note, with Bipasha's screen time being bare minimum in the film, the trio of Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel can breathe easy because Abbas-Mustan can now be expected to concentrate better on their role and presentation."

When asked about how she would continue the character of Sonia that she played in RACE, Bipasha simply said 'no idea'. She added though that she has been assured her guest appearance would be important to RACE 2. "Moreover, a very important part of being in an Abbas-Mustan film is that they bring really cool style and flavour to the characters. They are extremely stylish directors and I am sure there would be something good reserved for me even though it's a guest appearance," she says.

NEWLY ENGAGED BRITNEY SPEARS WITH JASON TRAWICK

Fresh off of her BIG engagement news, Britney Spears made the short trip from Los Angeles, CA to Las Vegas, NV to celebrate with her loved ones on Friday evening.

With the Vegas trip help to toast the couple upon their engagement, the group also happened to be celebrating Trawick's 40th birthday - as the night also included a stop at Chocolate Lounge in the Paris Hotel along with a visit to Chateau nightclub.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Britney happily announced her engagement to Jason earlier in the day, as she joyously tweeted, "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you!

The pop star added a few hours later, "Still glowing! About to jump on a plane to Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Throwing a Bday Party for Jason at Chateau Night Club. So fun. Xxoo"

During her recent appearance on the “Rachel Ray” show, Ashlee and her sister Jessica chatted about their upcoming clothing line.

Additionally, Jessica shared that pregnancy has made her extra emotional. “I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears. It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, ‘There it went. It’s there, it’s really there.”

NEIL AND DEEPIKA WILL BE SEEN TOGETHER AGAIN IN "PAIDAAR"

It is a known fact that Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh are thick friends for quite some time. So much so that Neil has even declared on a public platform that he and Deepika are more than just friends. However this great friendship won't necessarily lead to a professional alliance between the two for at least some time from now.

''When Neil had announced his home production PAIDAAR a few months back, it was Deepika's name that had emerged as the leading lady. The film is going be an all-around Neil show since he has not just written the film's script but would also be composing music along with producing and acting in it. There were all the right reasons to believe that Deepika would indeed do the film due to her friendship with Neil ever since the days of LAFANGEY PARINDEY. However with no further confirmation coming from either of the two, it seems like there would be a change in plans for Neil,'' says a source.

A romantic thriller with revenge at the core of it, PAIDAAR (an Urdu word that stands for eternal) was supposed to be directed by Rohit Jugraj, a key member in the writing team of PLAYERS which features Neil in a prominent role. One expected that as PLAYERS would come closer to release, Neil and Rohit would divulge further plans around PAIDAAR, especially the leading lady. However as things stand today, neither is Deepika a part of it, nor is the film going on floors anytime soon.

Says Neil, ''Neither Deepika nor any other actress has been approached for the film. We are still developing PAIDAAR so there is no question of any casting being finalised. The film still needs more time on scripting. Though it is pakka that I would be acting in it, no one else has been confirmed so far, whether it is the other actors or the director.''

When contacted, even Deepika denied doing the film. She said, ''I haven't been offered PAIDAAR so where is the questioning of me saying 'yes' or 'no' to it.'' 

ABIGAIL BRESLIN - SPOTTED AT THE PREMIERE OF HER NEW MOVIE "NEW YEAR'S EVE"

She’s no stranger to high-profile events, and last night, Abigail Breslin was seen at the premiere of her new movie “New Year’s Eve.”

During a recent interview, Abigail came clean about working with her Tinseltown crush Zac Efron on the film.

BOLLYWOOD EVERYGREEN STAR "DEV ANAND" DIED OF HEART ATTACK IN LONDON

The Hindi film industry mourns the death of legendary actor DEV ANAND, who died of a heart attack in London. Amitabh Bachchan says he has left a void that will not be filled again and Anupam Kher pays tribute remembering his song Abhi na jao chodkar, which became an integral part of his life.

Dev Anand died in London Saturday night. Mourning the demise of the legend, film fraternity Sunday took to Twitter to express sadness over the era that had ended with his death.

Amitabh Bachchan: "An era has come to an end .. Dev Anand leaves a void never perhaps to be filled again .. his never give up belief, his joy of life ! Had just met Dev Saheb at his premiere recently .. he was weak but full of spirit ..the newspapers confirming his passing away..He was such a positive person .. never associated death with him."

Bringing an end to the week with an afternoon on the town, Vanessa Hudgens stepped out for a relaxing day in Los Angeles, CA on Friday.

The "Sucker Punch" starlet looked cute and casual in a navy blue and red striped pullover and jeans as she toted her beige fringed handbag to a local eatery for lunch before hitting up a nearby salon to get prettied up for the weekend.

Meanwhile, Miss Hudgens recently announced that she's auctioning off an"Elephant Project" card signed by herself along with a Coastline beanie baby as part of the fundraising efforts of "The Elephant Project" to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

Of the charitable doings, the soon-to-be 23-year-old tweeted, "Awwww, auctioning off this cute wittle elephant with a signed card for The Elephant project to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Please bid for this great cause!"
